Clients will seek out hypnotherapy for a variety of reasons, these could be goals in life, emotional or physical issues or just the need to be able to relax. It’s fantastic to be able to get rid of something that has been holding you back in your life and equally its a fantastic achievement to be able to fulfil a goal you have been yearning for.

I am a very person centred therapist, and I use techniques that always put you first. I use techniques that incorporate Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), to help re-train your thought patterns.

(Note: An initial consultation will always be required before the first session takes place, this normally lasts 30mins. This allows me to have a chat with you about what you’re goals are and also take some vital details about yourself & health).

Low Confidence & Self-Esteem

Many of us have a problem with a lack of confidence or self-esteem. Are you afraid to attempt anything new?, do you use an excuse when you have been successful at something by saying, “I was just lucky,” or “Anybody could do it.”

Maybe you have been told time and time again through life that your not able, or that you can’t do anything. Perhaps you have been a victim of continuous judgment throughout your life and because of this you have no confidence moving forward and are fearful of doing so.

Loss & Separation

Separation & loss doesn’t need to mean that you have lost a loved one or someone close to you. It could certainly have a lot of different meanings for everyone. Emotions associated with separation occur whenever your lifestyle changes significantly. Some of the situations which can cause a separation anxiety are:

Divorce or Separation from your family, Job loss, Loss of a dream or a goal, Moving to a new location, Completion finally of that project, Loss of mobility or health, Loss of a precious object, loss of someone significant in your life and Rejection.

These are not easy elements in life to deal with or talk about and a lot of the above can be associated with other feels such as low confidence and self-esteem. Also such feelings of loss and separation can also bring on feelings of low mood and sometimes depression.

There are what you would call five stages of recovery which are:

  1. Coping
  2. Realisation
  3. Immobilisation
  4. Acceptance
  5. Letting go

Denying or resisting these emotions that arise during these stages of recovery will only prolong the journey to emotional well-being for you. You can suppress feelings of sadness & anger, however they will return to haunt you eventually which can linger for months maybe even years.

Hypnotherapy can help you release negative emotions and release you from the block you have set yourself. Together we will work on positive affirmations, looking to change your repetitive thought cycle. Use hypnosis to allow you to understand your emotions and realise them, look to forgive, release and heal.

Stress & Anxiety

Though certain types of stress can be good for you, such as stress caused with anticipation of an exciting event coming up or the natural responses to “fight or flight” all humans have. Stress that begins to produce low feelings, fatigue, emotional or irrational out bursts, resentment etc are harmful not only psychologically but can be harmful to your health also.


Are you struggling to get a good night’s sleep? There can be so many reasons that stop someone getting a good nights sleep. Stresses and anxiety in life can become overwhelming and therefore your mind doesn’t fully rest causing you to toss and turn all night in worry and restless thought.

There can be medical reasons as to why you cant sleep, or it could be the fact that you have gotten into a bad habit over time. Hypnotherapy can help get to the route cause of your disturbed sleeping patterns and help begin to prepare your mind and body for sleep.

Normally this is very good when the sessions are conducted in the evening so you’re ready to go home and relax.

Pure Relaxation

If you are purely looking for relaxation or as I like to call it “a mind massage”, then hypnotherapy can help you. This 45 to 60 minute session will be all about “you”, allowing you to relax with hypnosis, sit back and enjoy. Many people report that the relaxing feeling continues long after the session has ended, so it can be particularly helpful if you’re feeling tense or a little stressed right now.


Feeling low and depressed can really hinder a person both mentally but also physically. A person can suffer from eating and sleeping problems, anxiety, inability to think clearly and push those close to them away.

You could be soldiering on through every day life however your feeling feeling desperate and unable inside, or you could be at a bottom and unable to pull yourself out from under the duvet. Hypnotherapy and positive thinking can help possibly make changes in your life. Together we can sit and discuss the elements that are causing you to feel low and then work together to make positive differences to how you feel, see yourself and project yourself to others.
